Fully Funded WTO Young Professionals Program in Switzerland 2024

The Fully Funded WTO Young Professionals Program in Switzerland is open to all nationals. The World Trade Organization Young Professionals Program (YPP) is a technical assistance program designed for young graduates to gain valuable hands-on experience related to international trade. It is a one–year program at the World Trade Organization Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland.

A total of 109 professionals have taken part in the Program since it was launched in 2016. It is an opportunity to spend a year in Switzerland. Young professionals from developing and least-developed countries who are members of the World Trade Organization can apply. Through this program, professionals will Enhance their knowledge of the World Trade Organization and its functions and will develop skills relevant to a career in international trade.

Eligibility

  • Be a national of a WTO member state. The list of members is available here.
  • Have an advanced university degree in law, economics, and other international trade-related subjects relevant to WTO work.
  • have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience.
  • be fluent in English.
  • The age should not be more than 32 years.
  • Applicants must submit a letter of motivation along with the completed online application.
