Fully Funded Hong Kong Government Scholarship at Lingnan University 2024-25

The Fully Funded Hong Kong Government Scholarship at Lingnan University is open to all nationals. It offers various scholarships to support high-calibre non-local students to pursue full-time UGC-funded (Government-funded) undergraduate studies at the University.  Successful applicants will be awarded one of the following scholarships:

  • Full Scholarship (covering tuition, hostel and partial academic and living expenses)
  • Half Scholarship
  • Full-tuition Scholarship
  • Half-tuition Scholarship

Each Scholarship is offered on an annual renewable basis and is tenable for a period of up to the normative duration of study, subject to continued outstanding academic performance.

The Scholarship will be awarded subject to availability, successful applicants in Early Round will be notified from January.  As such, applicants are encouraged to make their applications as early as possible.

Applicants for self-financed undergraduate programmes are not eligible for scholarships.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Fully Funded Hong Kong Government Scholarship at Lingnan University are stated below:

  • Have good academic standing
  • Have a good track record in community service.
  • Hold an IB Diploma or GCE A-Level/iAl with Grade E in 2 @ subjects (for BEdECE) or 1 subject (for HDECE); and Grade E in English Language at A/AS-Level or Grade C in GCE/O-LEVEL/GCSE/IGCSE

  • Full-tuition scholarships for selected students to study a four-year Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Early Childhood Education (ECE) Program for the 2024/2025 academic year.
  • Living costs in Hong Kong, including food, transportation, and leisure, may range from HK$30,000 to HK$50,000 per year.
  • Affordable hostel accommodation for international students may cost around HK$6,000 (USD 770) per month.
  • The college will waive application fees for applicants referred by the Consulate General of Nigeria in Hong Kong.
